Motorola releases moto g9 play

Motorola is strengthening its moto g smartphone line-up with the addition of the moto g9 play, designed for the value-conscious consumer with long battery life, impressive camera and NFC technology for contactless payments.

The moto g9 play retails for $299. It is available in Sapphire Blue at JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and the Motorola online store. It is also available in a Spring Pink variant at JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and the Motorola online store.

Motorola true wireless Bluetooth earbuds are included in the box with a USB charging cable on the case that allows them to be charged directly from the phone. 

The moto g9 play has a 5000mAh battery which delivers two days of power on a single charge for users to stream music for 83 hours, stream videos for 16 hours, or browse the internet for 13 hours.

Its triple camera system includes a 48 MP main camera sensor with Quad Pixel technology, night vision mode and a large f/1.7 aperture, in addition to a depth sensor for portraits with accurate edges and Macro Vision camera to get four times closer to the subject than a standard lens. The camera is powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities.

The moto g9 play is one of the first smartphones in the world to have the Snapdragon 662 Mobile Platform, providing smooth and vivid graphics for games and videos, as well as increased speeds and robust on-device performance to multitask with less lag.

The 6.5-inch Max Vision (20:9) HD+ screen delivers an immersive experience designed to maximise viewing area. There is a dedicated Google Assistant Button located on the side of the phone to enable voice control.
